I have a completely different problem, as the tab buttons are not working when I install or uninstall anything. I would install a program (or program) and right after finish the said program, the menu and tab button would disappear. I have been using Waterfox for years, so it’s not a new problem as most people have the same problem. I am on Pentium 4, 2 GB RAM, 128 MB Vram, and 4 GB Hard Drive for Windows 7. I have installed Waterfox on Windows 64 bit, KDE, Windows 7, and GNU/Linux Mint 17.3, and I have all the same problem.
I installed Waterfox Classic and then later installed regular FF and the tab buttons were back. After rebooting I got something called “G4SE”, and I could not get back to FF. Also I could not open any of the extensions. Also I could not save a password or open a tab but the launch page was there. Finally I removed G4SE and now I am back to the FF of old. Although I got some of my extensions back, I can not open any of my passwords or open a new tab.
I have been using the Waterfox Classic package without any problems for months. I have had no issues with it, Firefox has been updated to 57.0.1 and the tab buttons have been working flawlessly. Now I read of this new and improved Waterfox which seems to be no different from the one I’ve been using for months. I download the latest version, G4, and extract it to my harddrive, but it doesn’t work! The tab buttons do not work and as soon as I launch the program it opens up my old Firefox 56, the last version to support classic add-ons. What gives?
