It would have been great to have had a better lens plugin, particularly for the 170-600mm lens I have been using. Even as-is it works very well for the camera lenses that I do have, and it even works very well for the new 80-400 VR lens.
I also find it a bit strange that the text view is the default view for the display of camera and white balance information. I would have preferred a more intuitive way of entering camera information to work with in the program. And for some reason the view of the camera information seems to be limited to the highest resolution image.
The entire Lightroom Classic interface has been revamped to make it easier for you to follow along with the camera dial instructions when shooting. There is now a bottom panel (where it would traditionally be), a top panel, and a middle panel. But, with this release, we can now view the histogram of all the raw files in a shot and simultaneously move the start and end points of the image.

Some Photos have faded or purple tinted highlights. As a test, I went into the HSL and Lightroom and back to Camera Raw and then back again. In the undo menu, and back to HSL in LR, the highlights in camera raw had been adjusted for the lightroom version. This is not always the case as I have seen other photos with faded highlights. I have a friend who was shooting PDAF and there was no adjustments in camera raw (just Lightroom) there was one shot where the highlights were faded. I was able to recover this shot with a couple of clicks in Lightroom.
What a useful functionality this would be (and I know it is easy to do but not obvious): if you can, use the Lens Profile to determine what the profile of your current lens is, then, instead of having to enter values (or make default) based on what the manufacturer says about the lens, you are free to enter the values based on what the Lens Profile tells you the settings should be. This feature is in the development version of Camera Raw – unfortunately it doesn’t default to the current profile in the development version, which is a bit problematic. As the library improves it may be a bit more interesting, but at present it is pretty much useless for real-world use. However it definitely is worth reporting to Adobe. I am starting to think that it is not too soon to commit to the road of software-only corrections, which it only appears that LR and Lightroom will be doing at some point. For now it is very useful to be able to take photos, correct with your camera raw and to have that correction visible when finished in the camera raw develop version of the photo. For example, using a Panasonic camera, I can take a photo at ƒ2.8, correct it in camera raw, bring it back to ƒ2.8 in LR and then bring it to ƒ2.0 in the develop edition. The ƒ2.0 exposure is too sharp, but the camera raw allow for that.
